How can anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is divine be so careless about the third of the great commandments, "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold guiltless anyone who takes his name in vain"? ( Exodus 20:7)
People who are a conscientious follower of Jesus Christ don't allow themselves and/or their loved ones to be fooled by preachers and/or political leaders who claim to speak in the name of God or of Jesus, but don't teach what Jesus taught nor behave the way he behaved and instructed his followers to behave : "This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to their dreams. . . They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them, ” declares the Lord. " (Jeremiah 29 : 8-9)
Now, if liberal Democrats and their ideas were really as bad as conservative Republicans claim, and those conservative Republicans were on the side of goodness, truth and light, then all they would need to do is tell the truth about these supposedly evil people and their ideas, right?
But no. Instead of simply laying out facts, what they do is practice what appears to be their own version of the eighth commandment, i.e. "Conservative Republicans must constantly bear false witness against liberals and/or Democrats"!
